ANN ARBOR - The North Division all-stars suffered a bit of a power outage on Tuesday on the final day of the NAHL Top Prospects Tournament at the Ann Arbor Ice Cube, suffering a 3-1 defeat at the hand of Team Central.
Tim Opie (Troy, MI/TC North Stars) led the North squad with five shots on goal, one night after leading the way with a pair of scores in a 6-2 victory. Fellow TC all-stars Travis White (Sterling Heights, MI/TC North Stars) and Michael Szmatula (Commerce Twp., MI/Lansing Capitals U18) registered a shot each on Tuesday.
Opie, Szmatula, White, and the rest of the North Stars travel to Flint to take on the Warriors on Wednesday before returning to Centre ICE Arena this weekend for a two-game series with Motor City beginning on Saturday, Feb. 26 at 7 p.m. and concluding Sunday (Feb. 27) afternoon at 1 p.m.
