
NLL Appoints New VP of Lacrosse Operations

National Lacrosse League Commissioner Jim Jennings has appointed Brian Lemon to the position of Vice President of Lacrosse Operations, effective immediately.
As VP of Lacrosse Operations, Lemon will be responsible for reviewing all league games for overall game quality. Lemon will work closely with and evaluate all referees and game officials, and serve as a member of the league's Competition Committee. Lemon will also have input into matters of player and team discipline when incidents are under review by the League Office.
Lemon is a native of Owen Sound, Ontario. The Brock University (B.A.)(Brock U. is in St. Catharines, Ontario) and Western Maryland College (M.S.) graduate is a former forward having played for the Baltimore Thunder, Detroit Turbos and Rochester Knighthawks during his eight year playing career. As a player, Lemon led by example with a hard work ethic and fearless attitude. Those character traits showed up in the stats, as Lemon was often among the team leaders in picking up loose balls. Lemon also exhibited leadership off the field, serving as his team's representative with the player's union. As a youngster, Lemon played Canadian Junior Lacrosse for the St. Catharines (Ontario) Athletics and Senior Lacrosse for the Owen Sound North Stars.
"Adding a former player like Brian to our staff is a real accomplishment and we look forward to working with him as we get set for the start of the 2003-04 season," said NLL Commissioner Jim Jennings.
