NORFOLK, Sept. 23, 2002 -- The Norfolk Nighthawks won their fourth award for the third straight year in arenafootball2 this past season, as they were chosen to have the "Best Marketing Plan" for the 2002 season. The Nighthawks previous wins were for Best Dance Team and for Merchandise Plan 2000, along with the Best Halftime Show 2001 and this past season's Best Marketing Plan.
The Nighthawks were a close runner-up in the Community Service category and Dance Team categories. This coming season marks the fourth football squad for the franchise, and the team hopes to add even more awards in 2003.

NIGHTHAWKS KICK OFF 2003 TICKET DRIVE
The Norfolk Nighthawks will be hosting a free BAR-B-Q on Oct. 5, 2002 from 12 - 4 p.m. on the campgrounds of Khedive Temple in Chesapeake at 645 Woodlake Drive. This event is open to all media, fans and supporters of the Nighthawks and will mark the kickoff of the Nighthawks season ticket drive for the 2003 season.
Fans and supporters are encouraged to bring a friend and enjoy live music, games and great food. The event is free of charge. For every new season ticket holder the Nighthawks sign-up, a t-shirt will be awarded to the person responsible.
The Nighthawks have a goal to sign up 1000 new season holders at this event.

NORFOLK RESTAURANT HOSTS MNF BANQUET IN HONOR OF NIGHTHAWKS OWNER
The Ship's Cabin Restaurant in East Ocean View in Norfolk will be hosting "Ken Easley Induction Night" October 14th from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Mr. Easley, co-owner of the Nighthawks, will be inducted into the Seattle Seahawks "Ring of Honor" during halftime of the Monday Night game between the Seattle Seahawks vs. San Francisco 49ers.
On display at the restaurant will be many of Easley's awards, photos and game balls from his college and professional career. It's free to the public, and fans are urged to come out and watch the game on big screen TV. Complimentary snacks will be served. The memorabilia will be on display from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The game starts at 9 p.m. Fans can win Nighthawks prizes by answering trivia questions about Mr. Easley's career. The Ship's Cabin Restaurant is located at 4110 E. Ocean View Ave in Norfolk.
