NIFL Names Week's Best

Lafayette La... Week 8 Players of the Week have been selected. From the Atlantic Conference Offensive Player of the Week goes to Rocky Harvey of the Ft. Wayne Freedom. Harvey, a running back, had two receiving and one rushing touchdown in Saturday's win over Sioux Falls. Defensive Player of the Week is Terrell Sutton of the Houma Bayou Bucks. Sutton had an interception and a fumble recovery both returned for touchdowns. Along with these two touchdowns, Sutton had three pass breakups and two tackles on the night. Special Teams Player of the Week honors goes to John Wehrle of the Ohio Valley Greyhounds. Wehrle contributed 18 points with six field goals, the longest one for 41 yards in this week's game.

The Pacific Conference Offensive Player of the Week goes to Jason Quinn of the Utah Warriors. Quinn had 111 yards with 5 touchdowns in the 91 – 70 victory over the Rockers. The Defensive Player of the Week is Derric Coakley of the LaCrosse Night Train. Coakley had 3.5 tackles – one for a loss, forced two fumbles and had one sack on the night. Special Teams Player of the Week honors go to Stephen Lovell of the Omaha Beef. Lovell had 8 returns for 165 yards in Saturday's game against the Night Train.
