NFLEL teams make cuts before departure for Europe

March 31, 2002 - National Football League Europa (NFLE) News Release


THE SIX teams preparing to contest the tenth NFL Europe League season have made their final cuts before departing training camp in Tampa Bay, Florida.

Following game-condition scrimmage action on Saturday, head coaches reduced their rosters to the 48 players who will fly out to Europe on Monday and Tuesday, ready to kick off the 2002 season on the weekend of April 13 / 14.

Each 48-man roster includes two inactive League Practice Squad Players, who will continue to practice with their teams, but will not be active on game day and can be reassigned in the event of a team losing a player through injury. Each roster also includes two league active players who are active on game day and can also be reassigned in the event of a team losing a player through injury.
