New York-Penn League Charitable Foundation 2012 Scholarship Program Application is available at Dodd Stadium and is open to graduating high school seniors in the Norwich area . The application is available online at www.cttigers.com or at the Tigers Front Office at Dodd Stadium. 14 scholarships are available ranging from $2,500.00 to $250.00.

Students need to fit the following eligibility requirements: graduate from an accredited high school within the Norwich market, fill out the application completely, attach three letters of recommendation or references, submit a completed transcript and a letter of acceptance from a 2 or 4 year university or trade school they are planning on attending. All materials must be returned to the Tigers Front Office no later than June 22.

The Connecticut Tigers are the Class-A affiliate of the Detroit Tigers and play in the New York-Penn League. The Tigers saw a 23% increase in attendance in 2011 (the 4th highest in Minor League Baseball), and will open their third season at Dodd Stadium on June 20 against the Lowell Spinners, affiliate of the Boston Red Sox.
