New York City FC II to Face Chattanooga FC as Opponent for 2026 MLS NEXT Pro Playoff Quarterfinals

NEW YORK - New York City FC II will play Chattanooga FC in the 2026 MLS NEXT Pro Playoff Quarterfinals.

New York City FC II is set to face Chattanooga FC on Sunday, October 18, at 5pm ET at Finley Stadium in Chattanooga, TN.

This will mark the first playoff matchup with Chattanooga FC. The two Clubs met earlier this season in New York City, playing to a 1(4)-(5)1 draw, with Flax converting from the penalty spot in the first half before Chattanooga earned the extra point in the penalty shootout.

New York City FC II finished the MLS NEXT Pro Regular Season as the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference, recording 47 points with a 13W-10L-5D record.

Concluding the regular season, Homegrown Midfielder Cooper Flax leads the Second Team in goals with nine, while Midfielder Drew Kerr leads the team in assists with six. Goalkeeper Mac Learned has recorded 68 saves and six clean sheets during the 2026 MLS NEXT Pro Regular Season. Learned made two penalty saves during the Club's final match of the regular season, helping New York City FC II earn the extra point and secure the sixth seed heading into the Eastern Conference Playoffs.

In the MLS NEXT Pro Playoff format, the top three seeds in each conference host and select their opponents from the remaining five through eight with the No. 4 seed getting the remaining unpicked Club.
