New England Storm Women's Professional Football Team Kicks Off Girls' and Boys' Football Clinics

Medford, MA, April 3 - The New England Storm Women's Professional Football Team recently announced that it will kick off its 2002 series of girls' and boys' football clinics with a session on May 5th at Hormel Stadium in Medford. The clinic, which runs 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and is geared toward kids aged 8 to 15 years, aims to improve participants' physical skills, speed, agility, strength and knowledge of proper techniques. Registration is $75 per child, and five scholarships are available for each of the clinics. Each participant will receive a New England Storm T-shirt, a ticket good for admission to any of the Storm's five home games, and other Storm gear.

The Women's Professional Football League (WPFL) is a professional full contact women's American tackle football league. This year marks the New England Storm's fourth season in the WPFL. The 2000 New England Storm team was the first ever to win the WPFL Eastern Division, National Conference, and WPFL Championship Game Title 1 Runner-Up honors.
