Connecticut United FC News Release

The Coywolves are on fire- and there's no better time to pack Reese Stadium.

CT United FC hosts New England Revolution II this Sunday, August 9, at 4 PM in the final match of an eight-game homestand. Riding a five-match winning streak and victories in nine of their last 11, the Coywolves have surged into seventh place in the Eastern Conference and continue their push toward the MLS NEXT Pro Playoffs.

Sunday's New England Derby has plenty on the line. With the season series tied at one win apiece, the winner will claim New England bragging rights and the head-to-head advantage. It also marks another opportunity for CT United to climb the Eastern Conference standings against one of the league's top clubs.

PLAYERS TO WATCH ð Barnabas Tanyi has been one of the league's hottest attackers, scoring his 10th goal of the season last weekend. The forward has recorded 10 goal contributions in his last nine matches and ranks among the top scorers in MLS NEXT Pro.

Dylan Lacy continues to shine in midfield after tallying a goal and an assist against Orlando City B, while creating chances all over the field.

Andre Applewhaite has scored in back-to-back matches and has become a cornerstone of CT United's defense during the club's five-game winning streak.
