Vancouver Volcanoes News Release

Vancouver, WA- The Vancouver Volcanoes added Senegal native Abdoulaye N'Diaye to the roster three games ago, and Volcanoes' officials have been very impressed with N'Diaye's short term performance and long term potential.

N'Diaye, 6'11", has only been playing organized basketball for five years. His college career began at South Idaho Junior College where he played for two national championships and led the country in blocked shots as a sophomore. N'Diaye spent the last two seasons developing his game under the tutelage of Tim Floyd at the University of Southern California.

Vancouver Volcanoes Head Coach Theo Evans-"Physically Abdoulaye is ready for the NBA right now. He is already a great player, but, being relatively new to the game, he is still learning. I believe the combination of his desire to improve, work ethic and ability will lead to great things down the road."

The Los Angeles Lakers have already taken notice, inviting N'Diaye to work out for the team in the coming weeks. In his first three games as a pro, N'Diaye is averaging 14.6 points, 13.3 rebounds and 5.0 blocks.

Next up for N'Diaye and the Volcanoes is a road trip to take on the 123 Salem Stampede on Saturday, June 2.
