
Nats' Jamieson and Thompson Re-Sign with MLL

(Hamilton, March 2)... Major League Lacrosse (MLL) announced today the signing of Hamilton Nationals attackman Cody Jamieson and midfielder Jeremy Thompson for the 2012 season.
Thompson, a Syracuse alumnus, was a first-round selection (sixth overall) by the Nationals in the 2011 MLL Collegiate Draft. He is entering his second season with the team. The midfielder earned Cascade Rookie of the Week honors on June 12, 2011 after scoring two goals to give the Nationals their first win of the season. He appeared in seven games for the Nationals during his MLL debut and tallied 10 points (6 goals, 4 assists).
Jamieson, a Syracuse alumnus, was a second-round selection (10th overall) by the Nationals in the 2010 MLL Collegiate Draft. He is entering his third season with the team. Last season, Jamieson played in 11 games for the Nationals and finished third on the team in points, registering 26 (16 goals, 10 assists). He also finished fourth on the team in goals. Jamieson played in the 2011 MLL Championship Weekend and scored two goals and one assist, totaling three points.
The Nationals will open the 2012 season against the Denver Outlaws, on Saturday, May 5th at 9:00 p.m. at INVESCO Field at Mile High. Hamilton makes its home debut on Friday, May 18th with an 11:00 a.m. contest against the Chesapeake Bayhawks at Ron Joyce Stadium at McMaster University.
