
Mudcats Make History In Tupelo

The Mississippi Mudcats are making history on June 10th at the BancorpSouth Arena in Tupelo. They are playing in the first ever Pro Football playoff game in the state of Mississippi. The Mudcats are heading into the playoffs with an 11- 3 record in the South division and are coming off a strong regular season. The BancorpSouth Arena is the toughest place to play in AIFA and opposing teams fear the crowd here with an average attendance being just over 4,000 a game. The Mudcats are hosting the Tallahassee Titans who are 11-3 on their regular season as well. The Mudcats will be practicing all this week getting prepared to bring in their first ever playoff victory and to advance into the later rounds.
The Mudcats are expecting key performances from the five players selected for the 2007 South division All-Star team quarterback Tommy Jones, wide receiver Josh Smith, offensive lineman William Stewart, linebacker Derrick White and defensive back Larry Wright.
