WSHL Monsters vs. Valencia Flyers - Ice Station Valencia - Valencia, CA
Friday, 11/4/2011 - Monsters 4, Flyers 3 (Shootout win): The Monsters extended their road game winning streak to 10 games with a 4-3 overtime shootout victory over the Valencia Flyers.Saturday, 11/5/2011 - Monsters 5, Flyers 4 (Shootout win): Fresno and Valencia couldn't get it done in regulation or overtime for the second straight game. The Monsters would go on to earn the extra point in the standings with a 5-4 overtime shootout victory.
Sunday, 11/6/2011 - Monsters 5, Flyers 2: The Monsters completed the three-game sweep of the Valencia Flyers, this time in regulation, winning by a final score of 5-2. With the victory Fresno improved to a perfect 12-0 record on the road.
WSHL PLAYER SPOTLIGHT
NICK McKEE: McKee continues to lead the team in scoring, and he is also tied for the most goals scored in the league with 14. Friday he recorded an assist, Saturday he scored a power play goal, and Sunday he scored two goals, one on the power play and the other shorthanded, and added an assist.
DON COYLE: Coyle earned a hat trick this weekend against the Valencia Flyers. Saturday he had a four-point night with three goals and one assist. Sunday he also notched three assists.
MARC HAAF: Haaf was back in action last weekend against the Valencia Flyers after being sidelined for the last 5 games with an injury. Friday he added an assist, Saturday contributed with two more helpers, and Sunday scored the game-winning goal and added an assist.
