Friday, 10/28/2011 - Monsters 3, Brown Bears 2 (Shootout Win):
Fresno Monsters gave their fans something to cheer for on opening night at Selland Arena, with a thrilling 9-round shootout victory over the Kenai River Brown Bears. Fresno went 1-for-4 on the power play Friday.
Saturday, 10/29/2011 - Brown Bears 2, Monsters 1 (Overtime Loss):
Saturday was a defensive battle for Kenai River and Fresno. Scoreless entering the third period, both teams got on the board to force another overtime situation. This time is was Kenai River who ended the game with a quick overtime goal. Fresno earned 1 point in the standings.
Sunday, 10/30/2011 - Brown Bears 5, Monsters 4 (Overtime Loss):
Kenai River Brown Bears took advantage of a goaltender change after going down 3-0 in the second period, only to climb back into the game to force overtime with the score even at 4 at the end of regulation. The Brown Bears ended overtime with another quick goal for the second-straight game to take the extra point in the standings. Fresno still earned 1 point in the standings.
NAHL PLAYER SPOTLIGHT
RILEY BORER: Borer assisted on both goals scored in regulation in Friday's game against the Kenai River Brown Bears, added a shootout goal, and was honored as the 3rd star of the game. Sunday he also added a goal and an assist, earning another 3rd star of the game honor.
JEFF McMINIMY: McMinimy assisted on Fresno's power play goal on Friday against the Kenai River Brown Bears. He also scored Fresno's only goal in regulation on Saturday night, earning him the 3rd star of the game honors.
JORDAN HASKELL: Haskell tallied an assist on the lone-goal for the Monsters in Saturday's game against the Kenai River Brown Bears. He doubled that on Sunday with two assists in Sunday's last game of the three-game series with the Brown Bears.

WSHL Monsters vs. Idaho Jr. Steelheads - Selland Arena - Fresno, CA
Friday, 10/28/2011 - Monsters 6, Steelheads 5: The Monsters outgunned the Steelheads in a nail biter, winning by a final score of 6-5. Fresno was 2-for-8 on the power play.Saturday, 10/29/2011 - Monsters 4, Steelheads 1: Fresno's defense was solid Saturday, stopping 33 of 34 Steelheads' shots on goal and killing all 7 Steelheads' power play chances.
Sunday, 10/30/2011 - Steelheads 4, Monsters 3: The Monsters' winning streak was snapped Sunday after a 4-3 loss to the Idaho Jr. Steelheads. However, the Monsters handed Idaho their only two losses of the season so far in the three-game series.
WSHL PLAYER SPOTLIGHT
NICK McKEE: McKee was impressive last weekend against the Idaho Jr. Steelheads. Friday he recorded two power play goals and one assist, including the game-winning goal. Sunday he added a power play goal and one assist for Fresno.
TYLER LAZAREK: Lazarek tallied three assists on Friday, including one on the power play against the Idaho Jr. Steelheads. Saturday he added another assist, and Sunday added another assist on the power play.
MARCUS HARBISON: Harbison was solid between the pipes for the Monsters on Saturday. He stopped 33 of 34 shots on net, including all 7 Idaho Jr. Steelheads' power play opportunities.
