WEEKEND RECAP
Vs. Dawson Creek Rage - Selland Arena
FRIDAY, 10/29/2010: The Fresno Monsters defeated the Dawson Creek Rage by a final score of 2-1. This was the Monsters' first win at home this season.
SATURDAY, 10/30/2010: The Monsters completed the two-game sweep against Dawson Creek on Saturday, winning by a final score of 5-4. This was the first time the Monsters won back-to- back games this season.
Fresno Monsters WSHL News:
The Fresno Monsters WSHL team completed a 3-game sweep of the Arizona Redhawks to jump to 1st place in the Western States Hockey League. The WSHL Monsters play 2nd place Idaho Jr. Steelheads this Friday & Saturday at 3:30pm at Selland Arena, and Sunday at 10:00am at Gateway Ice Center. Your tickets for the 3:30PM WSHL Monsters games at Selland Arena are also good for the 7:35pm NAHL Monsters games.
PLAYER SPOTLIGHT
LUIS PUIG: Puig recorded two consecutive wins this weekend over the Dawson Creek Rage including a stellar performance on Friday, stopping 28 of 29 shots on goal.
JOHN SIEMER: Siemer had another impressive weekend, scoring the game-winning goal in Friday's game and two assists in Saturday's win against Dawson Creek.
CODY CASTRO: Castro recorded his first point in a Monster sweater this season, notching an assist on John Siemer's game winning goal on Friday night against the Dawson Creek Rage.
