Moniz Voted Week 20 National Guard MVP

CHICAGO - Georgia Force QB BRYANT MONIZ has been named National Guard MVP of the Week for his performance in Week 20 of the AFL season, as voted on by fans.

Moniz (6-0, 215, Hawaii) accounted for five total touchdowns in Georgia's playoff clinching win over the New Orleans VooDoo in Week 20. Moniz completed 17-of-36 passes for 175 yards and two scores, while tying a single-game franchise record with three rushing touchdowns.

Other candidates for the award included Arizona Rattlers QB Nick Davila and Jacksonville Sharks QB Bernard Morris.

The Force (9-9) face the Jacksonville Sharks (10-8) in the opening round of the 2012 AFL playoffs on Saturday, July 28. The game can be seen at www.ustream.tv/afl. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m. ET.
