MLL Week 11 Players of the Week Named

Boston, MA - Lyle Thomson of the Chesapeake Bayhawks and Will Nowesnick of the Atlanta Blaze have been named Warrior Players of the Week for their performances in Week 11. Sean Sconone of the Dallas Rattlers has been named the Cascade Rookie of the Week for his performance against the Denver Outlaws.

Lyle Thompson has been named Warrior Offensive Player of the Week after his standout performance against the Boston Cannons. Thompson scored three goals and added four assists in a seven point performance. Thomson leads the league in goals (38) as well as points (59). This is Thomson's third Warrior Offensive Player of the Week honor this season, after being named player of the week in Week Three and Week Six.

Will Nowesnick of the Atlanta Blaze has been named Warrior Defensive Player of the Week for his play against the New York Lizards. Nowesnick scooped up four ground balls and caused two turnovers. It is the first player of the week honor for Nowesnick this season.

Sean Sconone of the Dallas Rattlers has been named Cascade Rookie of the Week after winning his fourth consecutive start against the Denver Outlaws. Sconone made 15 saves on 27 Outlaws shots. Sconone currently leads the league with a save percentage of 54.19%. This is Sconone's second player of the week honor, after being named Warrior Defensive Player of the Week in Week Eight.

Thompson, Nowesnick, and Sconone are just some of the players who are up for awards at the end of the year. Major League Lacrosse's year end awards will be announced on October 5th at MLL Honors.
