ALL-STAR ALEX SMITH'S JERSEY LEADS THE WAY IN THE AUCTION TO BENEFIT BOYS & GIRLS CLUBS
The Major League Lacrosse All-Star Auction is off to a great start. Currently, the top item is the Young Guns jersey of Washington Bayhawk's face-off specialist Alex Smith.
Looking for the most bang for your buck? The autographed Old School and Young Guns jerseys are signed by all of the members of that particular team! A great value!
Since 2006, Major League Lacrosse, with the generous support of the New Balance Foundation, has raised over $125,000 for charity through the online auctioning of limited-edition, autographed All-Star Game items.
Throughout the course of the auction, which runs through August 14th, we'd love for you all to get to know more about the various Boys & Girls Clubs in our local markets!
This week's focus is on the St. Albans Boys & Girls Clubs in Toronto. They are embarking on a campaign to raise funds to build new clubs in the areas that need them and to renovate 2 existing clubs that date back to the 1960's.

BUILDING BOYS & GIRLS CLUBS
The vision that created St. Alban's Boys and Girls Club in 1949 and built its Clubhouse in 1960 has successfully grown to reach other under serviced and at risk communities.
The Building Boys and Girls Clubs campaign aims to raise $3.5 million over the next five years to build/expand three new Boys and Girls Clubs and renovate two existing Clubhouses.
We are very excited about continuing the founding vision of the Club and hope that you feel inspired by the knowledge that you can make a positive impact on so many young lives.
Find out how the St. Albans Boys & Girls Clubs have been serving the youth of Toronto and why it is so important that they act now to make sure that they can continue to do so for years to come.

Jerseys are available for each player named to the 2009 MLL All-Star team. All jerseys, with the exception of those players who did not appear in the game due to injury and the 2 team jerseys, are the actual jerseys that were worn in the All-Star Game in Denver and signed on the field at the conclusion of the game. Each of the two autographed team jerseys are signed by the members of that respective team.
Don't miss your chance to own a great souvenir from this event, while giving back to a very worthy cause! We've already raised about $9,000 so far, but let's aim to break the $25,000 that has been raised for charity in each of the last two All-Star Game auctions!
