MLL Insider Week 13
August 1, 2013 - Major League Lacrosse (MLL) News Release
Week 13 is gearing up to be one to remember with playoff spots on the line for no less than four teams. The Denver Outlaws and Hamilton Nationals have already punched their tickets to MLL Championship Weekend presented by Smartlink but the Charlotte Hounds, Boston Cannons, Rochester Rattlers, and Chesapeake Bayhawks are still in the hunt to secure a spot in Philly. It's going to be a weekend of top notch entertainment and world class lacrosse so be sure to tune in and don't miss a second of the action.
The Cannons and Ohio Machine start the weekend off on Saturday afternoon with a 4 PM game that you can watch live on MLL's YouTube Channel. The race for the playoffs continues with 2 games at 7 PM as Charlotte hosts the Nationals and Rochester travels to Annapolis to take on the Bayhawks. Both games will be televised and you can also catch them on ESPN3.com, check your local listings. A great weekend of lacrosse action wraps up when the Outlaws head east to face the New York Lizards. The Outlaws look to remain undefeated in their quest to finish the season with a perfect record. Catch it live on CBS Sports Network. After another exciting week Major League Lacrosse named Hamilton Nationals' rookie Garrett Thul the Warrior Offensive Player of the Week, while the Denver Outlaws' Lee Zink won Warrior Defensive Player of the Week. US Lacrosse Invites 83 MLL Players to Tryouts
US Lacrosse invited 98 players, 83 from the ranks of Major League Lacrosse, to try out for the U.S. Men's National Team, which will defend its world title at the Federation of International Lacrosse (FIL) World Championships on July 10-19, 2014, in Denver, Colo. Tryouts will be held Aug. 30-Sept. 1 at Goucher College in Baltimore, Md. Read More.
