MLL Honors Our Military on Veterans Day

Boston, MA - Major League Lacrosse would like to send a heartfelt thank you to all the men and women who have, are, and will serve in our nation's military. The men and women in the United States Military put their lives on the line for our freedom and for that we are forever grateful.

MLL has proudly supported our armed forces through community partners, charitable contributions and various armed forces day celebrations.

MLL would also like to extend a special token of gratitude to all the current MLL players who are serving in our armed forces, Tom Rigney of the Denver Outlaws and Miles Silva of the Denver Outlaws. MLL would also like to thank alumni who have and are serving, those players include Brandon Jones, DJ Plumer, Chris Fennell, and Garrett Thul.

Rigney and Silva, rookies for the Denver Outlaws, are currently serving in the United States Army after graduating from West Point earlier this year.

Chris Fennell of the Chesapeake Bayhawks is currently active duty in the US Navy. He attended the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, graduating in 2017.

Second Lieutenant Garret Thul served in the United States Army while playing in the MLL simultaneously. Thul, a pro from 2013-2016 took several leaves of absence throughout his career attend Army Ranger School, Army Leadership School, as well as Airborne School.

MLL is grateful that so many of our players have decided to serve their nation as members of the United States Armed Forces. The league is looking forward to continuing to support our nation's military in the years to come.
