Missouri's Kellan Tochkin Named 50/50 Central/CHL Rookie of the Month

GLENDALE, AZ (March 4, 2013) -The Central Hockey League announced today that Missouri Mavericks forward Kellan Tochkin has been named the recipient of the 50/50 Central/CHL Rookie of the Month (February/2013).
The Abbortsford, British Columbia native scored points in eight of the 12 games the Mavs played in the month helping his club to a 7-5-0 record. Tochkin finished with six goals and 11 assists and was a +5 in the month of February.
Assigned to Missouri by Vancouver (NHL) prior to the start of the season, the 5-10, 175-pound rookie had five multiple point games highlighted by back-to-back four-point nights. On February 9th, Tochkin had a goal and three assists with a +4 plus/minus rating and the next night he scored two goals with two assists with a second straight +4 plus/minus rating.
On the season, the forward has 12 goals and 20 assists in 44 games ranking him fourth on his team. Prior to the month of February, Tochkin had registered just two assists in his previous 16 games.
