
Minnesota Swarm to Hold Tryouts for 2012 Performance Team Saturday

SAINT PAUL, Minn. - The National Lacrosse League's (NLL) Minnesota Swarm will hold auditions for the 2012 Swarm Performance Team (SPT) at Highland Park CorePower Yoga on Saturday, Sept. 17 at 5:30 p.m. Ten ladies will be selected for the performance team and will join head coach Tami Krause and assistant coach Allison Drusch.
Registration begins at 5:30 p.m. and auditions will run until the final team is announced. Walk-in registration is available at a cost of $25. Form fitting dance attire and proper shoes are required. Attendees should bring a performance resume, non-returnable photograph, water bottle and a snack.
Registrants must be 21 years of age at the time of open auditions as well as be one of the following: a full-time college student, a full-time employee or a full-time mom. A high school diploma or a G.E.D. is also required to be a SPT member.
"We are very excited about the upcoming season and selecting a new Swarm Performance Team," Krause said. "We know that we are going to see some familiar faces joining us back and we are excited about the fresh faces that will be joining our team."
Krause enters her eighth season as head coach and coordinator for the SPT in 2012. For the past 14 years, she has also held the same role for the Minnesota Vikings cheerleading squad. A mother of three boys and a girl, Krause was a dance major at the University of Minnesota and is a former professional cheerleader.
Drusch will enter her third season as an assistant coach after previously spending three years as a member of the SPT and guest choreographer. A mother of two girls, Drusch is a former Vikings cheerleading captain and pro bowl cheerleader. She is also the co-owner of LifeCore Yoga in North Oaks, Minn.
