Minnesota Swarm News Release
SAINT PAUL, Minn. - The National Lacrosse League's (NLL) Minnesota Swarm are excited to announce that registration for the Jr. Swarm program is underway and that tryouts for the three Jr. Swarm teams will begin on Saturday, May 3.
The Jr. Swarm program was established last summer and competed at the bantam level in national and international youth box lacrosse tournaments, all while being coached by Minnesota Swarm players and staff. This year the Jr. Swarm are expanding to host three teams for different ages - PeeWee, Bantam and Midget - and will play REAL BOX LACROSSE as members of the Box Lacrosse Association of America (BLA), the national governing of box lacrosse in the U.S. Players will receive top-of-the-line instruction from Swarm assistant coach and former NLL forward Aime Caines and current Swarm forward Corbyn Tao, along with other Swarm players and coaches.
"We established the Jr. Swarm program last summer in an effort to help grow the game of box lacrosse in Minnesota, and give kids the opportunity to compete on the national level," Andy Arlotta said. "Our inaugural Bantam team was enormously successful, and many special relationships were formed with the players and parents on the team. This year, we are excited to expand the Jr. Swarm program, by offering two additional age levels - PeeWee and Midget - - while continuing to provide team members with top-of-the line coaching from Swarm players and coaches. I highly recommend the Jr. Swarm program for any lacrosse player who is looking to take their game to the next level."
