
Minnesota Lacrosse Announces Two Trades

SAINT PAUL/MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - Minnesota Lacrosse General Manager Marty O'Neill announced today that the National Lacrosse League (NLL) club has acquired forward Mike Accursi, midfielder Kerry Susheski, the Buffalo Bandits first round pick in the 2004 NLL Entry Draft (8th overall) and the Bandits first round selection in the 2005 NLL Entry Draft in exchange for defenseman Tyler Francey, forward Dan Teat and Minnesota's first round selection (1st overall) and third round selection (21st overall) in the 2004 NLL Entry Draft.
Accursi, 29 (2/25/75), notched 54 points (26-28=54) including 11 power play goals and 87 loose balls in 16 contests with Buffalo last season. He ranked tied for second on the team in scoring and third in goals and assists. The 5-foot-11, 175-pound forward also recorded 13 points (6-7=13) in three playoff games last season as the Bandits advanced to the Champion's Cup. The Pelham, Ontario-native has tallied 317 points (177-140=317) and 539 loose balls in 96 career NLL contests during seven seasons with Ontario, Syracuse and Buffalo. Accursi was a member of the 2004 Mann Cup champion Peterborough Lakers squad.
Susheski, 25 (10/26/79), recorded seven points (4-3=7), 13 penalty minutes and 14 loose balls in three contests with Buffalo last season. The 6-foot, 195-pound midfielder also added four points (1-3=4) in two playoff games. The New Westminster, British Columbia-native has notched 60 points (31-29=60), 115 penalty minutes and 144 loose balls in 19 career NLL contests during three seasons with New Jersey and Buffalo.
Minnesota acquired Francey from Arizona in a trade earlier today. Teat was acquired from San Jose in the Expansion Draft.
The National Lacrosse League's (NLL) Minnesota Lacrosse team will unveil its team name, logo and colors tonight at 6:00 PM on the Xcel Energy Center turf. Minnesota Lacrosse General Manager Marty O'Neill, Head Coach Mike Simpson and Neil Doddridge, the first-ever played signed by the team will be on hand Monday to help unveil the team name, logo and colors.

This trade is conditional on Dan Teat signing a standard player contract with the Buffalo Bandits as provided for in the trade agreement between the clubs.
