The "Manchester Express" kept on rolling as the Millrats defeated the Chicago Throwbacks 124-105 before an enthusiastic crowd of 1,206.
The Millrats have won 13 of their last 14 games including 8 in a row. They remain unbeaten in the month of February. Manchester completed their inaugural season in the Premier Basketball League undefeated at home.
"The guys are really gelling together and you could see that tonight," stated Millrats Head Coach Rob Spon. "There was no quit in Chicago, they played hard, but we just executed when it mattered."
Manchester was led in scoring by Tommy Mitchell with 23 points, Al Stewart 15, Marlowe Currie 14, Lincoln Glass 12, Keith Salscheider 11, and Desmond Ferguson with 10. Chicago's Dameon Mason scored 22 for the visitors.
Manchester improves to 13-3 on the season, while Chicago falls to 6-8.
Manchester hits the road next weekend for an important two games. Friday night they visit the Burlington Memorial Auditorium to face their arch rival, the Vermont Frost Heaves. Vermont has never lost in Burlington in their franchise history. Then on Saturday the Millrats head to Quebec City to face the Kebs.
