
Millrats Run Past the Stampede

The Buffalo Stampede roared out of the gate, putting 22 points on the board in the first five minutes against the PBL's top defense. Manchester's defense clamped down, holding Buffalo to a mere 71 points the rest of the game.
Buffalo held double digit leads on several occasions, but time the Millrats clawed back.
Alex Owumi's steal and slicing layup off glass gave the Millrats a 70-69 lead with 3:36 remaining in the third quarter. Owumi's score ignited the Millrats and they never trailed again.
Manchester took an 81-74 lead into the fourth quarter. Sam Carey and Aaron Spears took turns punishing the Buffalo frontline in the post. The Millrats built a twenty five point lead late in the fourth, and cruised to a 115-93 win.
Manchester was led by Sam Carey's 22 points, Tommy Mitchell with 18, Alex Owumi and Aaron Spears 13, Lincoln Glass 12, and Kenyon Gamble with 10.
Tyrone Rayson scored 23 points for Buffalo.
Manchester remains unbeaten in February (7-0) and improves to 12-3 on the season.
