The Saint John Mill Rats shot down the Dayton Airstrikers 116-100 before an enthusiastic home crowd at Harbour Station.
After a close score toward the end of the first, the Mill Rats started to pull ahead by the end of the third quarter. Steve Deluca and Anthony Anderson helped the Mill Rats build a 20 point lead at 91-71 with an outside attack.
Terry Martin led the Mill Rats with 25 points, Anthony Anderson scored 21 and Marc Egerson scored 20 . Nathaniel Miles scored 26 for Dayton.With the win,the Mill Rats record improves to 1-1 and the Air Strikers fall to 1-1.
The next game for the Mill Rats is on January 21 versus the Rochester Razorsharks in Rochester.
