Manchester, New Hampshire: The Manchester Millrats of the American Basketball Association (ABA) announce that 6'11 center Mike Williams been added to their roster.

Williams is a 2005 graduate of Bryant University where he was an All-Conference performer in the Northeast-10, and posted averages of 11.2 points and 7.5 rebounds. He is also Bryant's all time leader in blocked shots.

His professional career included stints in Portugal, the ABA, Switzerland, and Italy. In Switzerland, Williams' team won the Swiss National League title in 2006. He began the 2006-2007 with the Italian club Aget Imola, and was leading the First Division in rebounding before being sidelined last December by back problems.

After a year away from the game, Williams recently began working out in the Hartford, CT men's league. He was brought in for one game to help bolster the Millrats frontcourt for Sunday's critical game against the Vermont Frost Heaves. His presence had an indisputable impact on the Millrats 108-95 victory with 11 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 blocks.

Following the game, Williams was offered a full time position on the Millrats, and he accepted. The Millrats ownership have made arrangements to get him to Singapore to join them against the Beijing Aoshen Olympians on the 7th and 8th.
