Miguel Ibarra Named to USL Championship Team of the Week

San Diego, CA - Midfielder Miguel Ibarra was named to the USL Championship Team of the Week after a standout performance in a Week 18 SD Loyal 5-1 win against Las Vegas Lights FC on Aug. 18.
Ibarra was an integral part of the team's win that night as SD Loyal won by the largest margin in club history. It was also the most goals scored by the team in franchise history. Ibarra opened the scoring with an early goal. The former United States international finished the night with his goal, two assists, three shots and six key passes as he roamed up and down the flanks for SD Loyal. He assisted in goals by Jack Blake and Tumi Moshobane. Ibarra's play on the Blake goal helped spark the flurry of second half goals after he found Blake on the right as he sent a low-rolling pass along the six-yard box line. Ibarra then helped set up SD Loyal's next score a minute later. He fed Tumi Moshobane down the left-flank, finding the South African in stride.
Ibarra now has two goals this season and four assists, tied for the team lead with Blake.
SD Loyal continues preparation for its next match, a Week 19 affair at Sacramento Republic Saturday at Heart Health Park. SD Loyal returns home after that for a Sept. 5 match against LA Galaxy II.
