Miami Manatees Release the 2003-2004 Inaugural Schedule

Miami Manatees News Release
Miami, Fla. â The Miami Manatees kick off their inaugural season in the World Hockey Association 2 (WHA2) when the puck drops on November 8th at 7:05 PM at the Miami Arena. The Manatees first ever opponent will be the Macon Trax. The WHA2 has released its schedule for the 2003-04 season and the Manatees will open the season at home, and finish off the season on the road in Lakeland. They will play a total of 30 home games and 30 road games. The 60 game schedule concludes on Sunday April 4th.
Among the highlights for the Manatees schedule:
*Sat. Nov. 8 Home Opener, First Franchise Game
*Wed. Nov. 26 Manatees host last year's ACHL Champs the Orlando Seals *27 Home Games played on weekends, 3 weekday games on Nov. 26, Mar. 23, and Mar. 30.
*Sun. Apr. 4 Regular Season Finale on the road against Lakeland Loggerheads
Weekend home games will start at 7:05pm, with the exception of Dec. 14 when the game will begin at 5:05pm.
The longest home stand for the Manatees is six games, from January 16 - 25. The Manatees longest road trip will be a six game excursion from November 28 - December 12.
The Miami Manatees will face off against the Alabama Slammers, Jacksonville Barracudas, Lakeland Loggerheads, Macon Trax, and Orlando Seals in the WHA2's inaugural season.
