Miami FC News Release
Las Vegas, NV - The Miami Football Club travels west to feature in a cross-conference matchup against Las Vegas Lights at Cashman Park in Sin City.
Miami FC looks to extend its eight-game undefeated streak with a win on Saturday. The ultimate goal is to host a playoff game. The side needs to win against Las Vegas and Detroit City FC, and hopes that Birmingham and Pittsburgh lose at least one game.
Late Heroics to secure three points vs. Memphis 901 FC
Miami FC dominated Memphis 901 FC from start to finish. The opening minutes saw Miami have most of the possession. However, it was not until the 19th minute that the home side created a big chance.
Left-back Aedan Stanley crossed a ball deep to the second post. There, captain Paco Craig headed a squared pass in front of the goal. Midfielder Bolu Akinyode made contact with the ball, but his attempt on target was parried away by goalkeeper Trey Muse.
The Orange and Blue picked up the pace in the second half, sending more players forward in search of a goal.
Striker Claudio Repetto and Winger Joaquin Rivas were introduced in the contest in the 60th minute, and quickly got involved in the attack. Rivas struck a volley on target that was kneed away from goal by Muse in the 63rd minute, and Repetto saw a low-driven shot blocked by the keeper four minutes after.
Forward Adonijah Reid, the last of five substitutes to come on the pitch, scored Miami's game-winning goal in stoppage time. Repetto squared a ball for Reid, who tucked it into the back of the to give Miami FC three points.
First-ever meeting against Las Vegas Lights

El Paso Locomotive, RGV Toros and Oakland Roots stand above Las Vegas with 43 points. The Lights, who have 41 points, need a win against Miami to keep their playoff hopes alive.
Up Next for Miami FC
