WHAT TO WATCH FOR
The Greenville Triumph will attempt to solidify its playoff positioning against the league-leading North Carolina FC on Saturday night at Paladin Stadium. The match is the final scheduled meeting between the clubs in 2023, and Greenville will look to earn its first points of the season series against NCFC after a pair of 2-1 losses in the first two meetings.
PLAYERS TO WATCH
NCFC: Louis Perez, midfielder: Oalex Anderson and Rafa Mentzingen draw most of the attention for the league-leaders, with a combined 23 goals scored between the pair. It's Perez, though, who Greenville will need to focus defensive efforts on. The French midfielder tallied a goal in both matches against Greenville earlier this season, and can test the Triumph midfield in transition.
GVL: Evan Lee, defender: One of only two Triumph players to appear in all 25 of the club's league matches so far this season, Evan Lee has been a constant for the Triumph defense in 2023. In his fifth season for Greenville, he's also showcased his versatility, appearing as a defensive midfielder and a left back in addition to his normal duties at center back. Lee has also contributed in the attack this season, adding two assists to double his total from the previous three seasons combined.
