Anaheim Bolts News Release
Anaheim, CA- (January 12, 2012)- The Anaheim Bolts (3-5) will be looking to put last weekend's disappointing results behind them when they travel to Mexico for a rematch with Revolucion Tijuana (4-4) at the Estadio Furati. Kick-off is set for 5:00 P.M. PST.
Following a sensational collapse at home versus Tijuana last Friday and a tough loss away to San Diego the next night, the Bolts are now on the outside of the playoff picture looking in. The Bolts are fourth in the Western Division while Revolucion occupies the third and final playoff spot. The good news for Anaheim is that a win in Mexico would not only exact a measure of revenge, but also put them level with Tijuana in the standings.
It will not be an easy task, however, as Revolucion head coach Neil Joseph Pollar will have his entire squad to chose from. A luxury Pollar has at home, but rarely enjoys on the road.
Almost certain to feature for Pollar is Cesar Romero. In just three games played, the two-time reigning PASL Player of the Week has risen to the top of Tijuana's scoring charts with 14 goals. That figure includes five second-half goals against the Bolts as Revolucion overturned a 7-3 halftime deficit to run out of Anaheim 14-13 winners.
Despite last weekend's loss to Tijuana and the frustrating 13-6 setback at San Diego, Bernie Lilavois and his charges know that they still have everything to play for. "We had a rough weekend," Lilavois said, "but we are still very much in the playoff race and we are getting there. Once we learn to hold onto leads and make a few other minor changes then there is no reason why we still cant battle our way into the postseason."
With a lot on the line, Lilavois is keeping mum on his roster, but whoever travels south of the boarder will have a bad taste in their mouth from last weekend and revenge will most certainly be on the mind.
With bad luck with the internet in opposing stadiums this season, the Bolts will not officially announce any broadcast until they are positive that they are up and running from the Estadio Furati on match day. Any possible broadcast will start at 5:00 P.M. PST and will be featured on http://www.ustream.tv/channel/anaheim-bolts.
