(Battle Creek, Mi) The Battle Creek Revolution, the proud Single A affiliate of the Muskegon Lumber Jacks of the International Hockey League, is proud to announce the return of Mark Allen. The Revolution made one of their final roster moves with the signing of Mark Allen to the roster as they gear up for the Davidson Cup Finals.
Mark Allen was one of the key players that lead the charge for the turn around last season, leading the Revolution to the Davidson Cup Finals. The Saint Johns, NFLD native began his pro career back in the 2004-2005 season with the Macon Trax of the SPHL scoring 14 goals and 22 assists for 36 points in 45 games in his rookie season. Mark has also played for the Pee Dee Cyclones, the Revolution, and has played over seas during his playing career. Mark also attended the Kalamazoo Wings training camp in the 2003-2004 season of the United Hockey League.
"We are happy to announce the return of Mark Allen as player to the Battle Creek Revolution hockey club," stated Director of Hockey Operations, Bobby Clouston. "Add Mark's veteran leadership, along with Gerbe, Affinati, Pace, and Schweyer, the Revolution will be one of the teams to beat in the upcoming playoffs."
The Revolution will be in action five times this week in the final week of the regular season, including three games at Revolution Arena. The Revolution will begin the week at home with a game against the Chi-Town Shooters at 7:00pm on Monday Night. The West Michigan Blizzard blow in to town on Wednesday for a Saint Patrick's Day classic at 7:00pm. The final game of the regular season will be on Saturday night against the Chi-Town Shooters at 7:30pm. The Saint Patrick's Day will have a post Green Jersey auction after the game.
During the month of March, patrons that bring in two can goods to the Revolution Arena ticket office will receive $1 off a Revolution home game ticket or a public skate session. All food collected during the month of March will be donated to the Food Bank of South Central Michigan. Individual game tickets are $7.00 Adults, $6.00 Seniors, $5 Students with IDs, and $4.00 Youth hockey players with jersey on. Get your tickets early for this special night of hockey at Revolution Arena (The Rink) by calling the Revolution ticket office @ 269-832-8172 or stop down to purchase your tickets in person Monday-Saturday at the team's ticket office at Revolution Arena (The Rink).
