Marcus James named Head Coach and Director of Football Operations for the Atlanta Sharks

Atlanta Sharks have named veteran indoor football coach Marcus James head coach and Director of football operations. James who played at Temple University from 1980-1982, went on to attend training camp for the USFL Philadelphia Stars of the now defunct USFL. From there, he enlisted in the United States Navy where he served from 1983-1992. Attaining the rank of second class petty officer. In 2008 James was named Director of Player Development for the IFL. Coach James also has coached for the Richmond Revolution, Alaska Wild, Rochester Raiders, and Western Michigan Thunder Hawks. In 2010 James was named Director of Scouting for the Erie Explosion until 2012. At which time he was named Assistant Head Coach/Offensive Coordinator of the Arizona Outlaws and Chattanooga Generals. He is also the owner of the Team James Sports Management and which evaluates and develops players for both the CFL/Indoor Football Teams across the States, Europe, and CFL. James said he is honored to have the opportunity to build and lead the Sharks in a great league.
