Marc Frazier Named TCL Pitcher of the Week

Cane Cutters pitcher Marc Frazier was given the honor of being the Texas Collegiate League pitcher of the week from July 29th to August 3rd. He made one start and threw a complete game shutout against the Woodlands Strykers. He did not allow any runs (0.00 ERA), and was able to rack up 7 strikeouts during his outing. He held batters to just a .087 batting average during the game as well.

Frazier, a redshirt sophomore, is from Newman, Georgia and currently plays for Nicholls State. He was drafted in the 47th round out of high school by the San Francisco Giants but made the decision to go to school. He was 2-0 with a save and a 0.92 ERA this past season at Nicholls while also hitting at a .219 clip with a homerun.

Today, from 5:30-6:30, Cane Cutters fans are invited to the manager's reception at the Hampton. Eddy and players will be on hand to sign autographs. Tickets for the Hampton Inn and Suites "Take A Nine Inning Vacation" game the following night will be raffled off. The Hampton will provide complimentary food and drink to Cane Cutters fans in Cane Cutters attire. Come "Take a Nine Inning Vacation" on August 5th sponsored by Hampton Inn and Suites and win prizes for local attractions including the Hampton, Kart Ranch, Evangeline Downs, and a grand prize of a four night stay in Destin Fla. Pirates and Princesses Night sponsored by Play and Learn, Fan Appreciation Day, and C&G Boats Shirts off Your Back Night will all be on August 6th.
