Tyler Marble was superb between the pipes for the Soo Eagles, as he did not allow a goal in a 3-0 victory over the Janesville Jets.

Janesville's power play was ineffective against Soo's penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded.

The Eagles were led by Michael Crowley, who registered one goal. Crowley scored 4:43 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Soo. Jake Peacock provided the assist.

Soo's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on six Janesville power plays. The Eagles' defensive play was more effective than usual against the Jets. Soo gives up 2.4 goals on average per game. Janesville was unable to stop the Eagles from sending pucks towards the net, and Soo eventually piled up 33 shots on goal.

Soo additionally got points from Jared VanWormer, who also tallied one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Soo also got a goal from Eric Rivard as well. Other players who recorded assists for Soo were Cody Von Reuden and Alex Robert, who each chipped in one.

The Jets stifled the Eagles' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Janesville did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. The Jets put an average of 2.5 pucks into the net per game. Janesville's offense was clicking better than usual and put 38 shots on goal during the game, better than the 20.5 shots per game it averages.

The Jets were led by Ryan Dau, who took six shots.

Marble rejected 38 shots on goal for Soo. The Eagles incurred 24 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. For Soo, Pat Gazzillo was ejected from the game. Austin Priebe recorded 30 saves for Janesville. The Jets incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
