Manchester Dance Team Try Outs, Name Contest Announced

Manchester, New Hampshire: The Manchester Millrats are pleased to announce that auditions for their new dance team will be held on Saturday October 6th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the SportsZone in Derry, NH. The Millrats are also holding a dance team naming contest on their website - www.manchestermillrats.com. Participants may vote on several suggested names or submit their own ideas. The names suggested so far are: The Manchester Millies, The Queen City Dancers, The ManchVegas Showgirls, and the Manchester Queens. Log on and give us your opinion!
The dance team is being coordinated by KeriAnn Lynch, a 2004 graduate of Syracuse University where she was the "Orange Girl" (feature baton twirler) for four years. KeriAnn has won 43 World and National Twirling titles and appeared on ESPN, ABC Sports, and the Disney Channel. As part of Red Star productions she has performed for 2 US Presidents and twirled all over the world. She danced professionally for two years with Busch Gardens Williamsburg, and choreographed shows for the Toyota Gator Bowl and the Capital One Bowl. She brings more than twenty years of ballet, jazz, hip hop and gymnastics training to our court.
As space is limited, prospective dance team members are encouraged to register on the Millrats website under the Registration page.
The Final auditions will be held on Thursday night October 11th at 7:30 p.m. at Milly's Tavern in downtown Manchester, NH (www.millystavern.com ).
The Manchester Millrats are a new entrant in the American Basketball Association. They are holding basketball tryouts on Saturday September 22nd at noon at the SportsZone in Derry, NH. Pre-registration on the Millrats' website is strongly encouraged as space is limited and slots are filling up fast! The Millrats open the ABA regular season at home on Sunday November 11th at 4:35 p.m. versus the Boston United Eagles. Season, half season, and single game tickets are on sale on the website or by calling 1-866-9-GET TIX (1-866-943-8849).
