Miami Manatees News Release

Miami, Fla. – After ten days of training camp and one pre-season game, Miami Manatees coach Zac Boyer has made the final cuts to the Manatees roster. With the final cuts, the Manatees are down to 15 players for the opening night game on November 8th.

"Emotionally it was a very tough job to do." Boyer said. "It was difficult to send a kid home after he worked his tail off for ten days. I made it well known that our training camp was going to be difficult. I am very proud of the way all of the guys worked to make the team."

The final cuts were made Wednesday morning to get the roster down to two goaltenders and 13 skaters. The Manatees opening night roster is as follows:

Goaltenders: Mark Scally and Sean Weaver

Defensemen: JF Picard, Dmitri Doulebenets, Tom Perry, Liam McCarthy

Forwards: Kevin Swider, Todd Nowicki, Oak Hewer, Eric Perricone, Darren Cain, Josh Liebenow, Darcy Johnson, Ryan Kiley, Zdnek Vanc

The Manatees open their season on November 8th against the Macon Trax. Face-off time at the Miami Arena is 7:05pm.
