Miami Manatees News Release
MIAMI, Fla. â Miami Manatees Head Coach Zac Boyer today announced the signing of Center Tom Perry.

A professional hockey veteran with six seasons under his belt, Perry played last season with the Flint Generals in the UHL. In 74 games, Perry scored 26 goals and had 36 assists with 57 penalty minutes.
"Perry can be our first line center or our number one defenseman. He will play through absolutely any injury and he is the ultimate warrior. We would joke around and call him âBrian Skrudland' who was famous for being that type of player." Boyer said.
Perry spent four seasons with the Colorado Gold Kings in the WCHL from 1997 - 1998 to 2001 - 2002. He was a teammate with Boyer on the Gold Kings during the 2000 - 2001 and 2001 - 2002 seasons. Over those four seasons, Perry averaged 1.07 points per game over 274 games for a total of 294 points.
In 1997 - 1998, Perry's first season as a professional player in the UHL, he was a member of the Quad-City Mallards that won the Colonial Cup. During the playoff run, Perry played in 20 games, scoring six goals and three assists for nine points. During the regular season, Perry played in 70 games, scoring 11 goals and 38 points.
From 1993 to 1997, Perry played college hockey for UMass-Amherst. In 117 career games, Perry was ranked 8th all-time in scoring with 94 points, 7th in all-time assists with 60, and still holds the Division 1 college record for the most points in a game with six.
"He brings so much to the table on and off the ice. He is a first class guy and will bring so much to the Manatee family."
