Miami Manatees News Release

MIAMI, Fla. – The Miami Manatees announced today that they have partnered up with Matador Worldwide ( www.matadormiami.com ), a Miami-based marketing agency that will support the Manatees with their advertising and marketing efforts in the South Florida area.

"One of their principals previously worked with the Dayton Bombers of the ECHL and I was very impressed with their work, so I wanted to incorporate that same feel into what we were doing down here." Manatees GM Shawn Thorimbert said. "The most important aspect of what we want to accomplish is to get our name out there and our logo recognized. They have come up with some creative ideas on how to do that, as witnessed by the first piece they helped put together for the Miami Herald Sunday edition."

Founded earlier this year and based in Miami, Matador Worldwide is the joint effort of three partners with long-standing experience in global and multi-cultural advertising and marketing firms, as well as a long list of awards such as CLIOs, One Show pencil, Cannes Lion, CRESTA, FIAP and ADDYs. Account Director Carlos Francisco and Creative Directors Luis Rocco have teamed up to create a collective vision for the direction for the Manatees marketing campaign that breaks out of the ordinary.

"We want to work on stuff that we know the community will get excited about, and things that seem adventurous and fun. Working with the Manatees was another outlet for breaking out of the mold that all but one or two Miami ad agencies seem to come from," Francisco said.

Matador Worldwide will assist in developing a cohesive and recognizable marketing image for the Miami Manatees. They will create the strategy and concepts for print, radio and television ads and will also play a vital role in the in-game presentation of the game night experience.

"I think it will be a very successful partnership. We had to basically build from scratch and every bit of exposure we put out there and present to the community will have the Matador touch on it." Thorimbert said.

"They have the experience and track record we are looking for, and the previous work they have done speaks for itself."

The Miami Manatees will face off against the Lakeland Loggerheads, Jacksonville Barracudas, Orlando Seals, Alabama Slammers, and the Macon Trax beginning November 8 at Miami Arena.

Season Tickets for the Miami Manatees are now on sale. For further information, please contact the Manatees at (305) 536-PUCK (7825) or visit www.miamimanatees.com. For information on Matador Worldwide, please visit www.matadormiami.com.
