Manatees Announce Training Camp and Preseason Schedule

Miami, Fla. - The Miami Manatees today announced the schedule for their 2003-2004 training camp and a preseason game versus Lakeland at Kendall Ice Arena.

Manatee players will report for physicals on October 27th, and will take to the ice for the first time at the Miami Arena at 5:00pm. On October 29th, the Manatees will move training camp to the Pines Ice Arena, located at 12425 Taft Street in Pembroke Pines.

The Manatees will spend October 30th and 31st skating at Kendall Ice Arena, located at 10355 Hammocks Blvd in Kendall. Training camp will end on Nov. 7th at the Miami Arena.

The Manatees will play the Lakeland Loggerheads for a pre-season game at Kendall Ice Arena on Nov. 1st at 7:05pm. Admission for the game is $5.00. General admission seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis at Kendall Ice Arena an hour before the game.

Oct 27: Players report for camp 5pm - 6:30pm

Oct 28: Miami Arena 10am - 12pm 5pm - 6:30pm

Oct 29: Pines Ice Arena 10am - 12pm

Miami Arena 5pm - 6:30pm

Oct 30: Miami Arena 10am - 12pm 5pm - 6:30pm

Oct 31: Kendall Ice Arena 10am - 12pm 5pm - 6:30pm

Nov 1 : Kendall Ice Arena Pre-game Skate 10am - 12pm

Kendall Ice Arena Pre-season game vs. Lakeland 7:05pm

Nov 3 : Miami Arena 10am - 12pm

Nov 4 : Miami Arena 10am - 12pm

Nov 5 : Miami Arena 10am - 12pm

Nov 6 : Miami Arena 10am - 12pm

Nov 7 : Miami Arena 10am - 12pm

Media day will take place on Oct 28th from 10am to 1pm and will be closed to the public. All other Manatee training camp on-ice sessions are free of charge and open to the public.

The Manatees 60 game season begins on November 8th against the Macon Trax. Game time begins at 7:05pm at the Miami Arena.

The Miami Manatees will face off against the Alabama Slammers, Jacksonville Barracudas, Lakeland Loggerheads, Macon Trax, and Orlando Seals in the WHA2's inaugural season. All games will be broadcast on www.irn.fm.
