DENVER - The Colorado Mammoth made several moves on Thursday, improving its position in this weekend's National Lacrosse League entry draft and signing two key players.

The Mammoth traded two second round picks (15th and 20th overall) in Sunday's draft to Calgary in exchange for the Roughnecks' first-round pick (seventh overall).

The team also re-signed Dylan Llord and signed free agent forward Gary Rosyski, formerly of the San Jose Stealth. All transactions are pending league approval.

"The last time we selected seventh overall we landed a perennial All-Star in Dan Carey," Mammoth general manager Steve Govett said. "We think this move could get us a young talent that will help the franchise not only this season, but in the long run."

Rosyski, who signed a two-year contract, joins the Mammoth after producing 18 goals and 22 assists for the Stealth last season. The 5-foot-8, 185-pound native of Toronto has tallied 568 points in nine NLL seasons and is a two-time All-Star (2003, 2005).

"Gary is among the 500 point club, and not many in NLL history can say that," Govett said. "He consistently generates offense and we expect more of that when he puts on the Mammoth uniform.

Llord, the Mammoth's second pick in the 2007 draft (30th overall), signed a two-year deal. He played in three games last season, tallying three goals and two assists.

"Although he didn't get much playing time last season, we think Dylan has great potential and a knack for scoring," Govett said.
