Colorado Mammoth News Release

DENVER - The Colorado Mammoth of the National Lacrosse League (NLL) today announced the organization has acquired a conditional 2024 NLL Entry Draft selection from Panther City Lacrosse Club in exchange for left-handed forward Ty Thompson.

Per the terms of the trade agreement, the conditional third-round 2024 NLL Entry Draft selection (belonging to the Albany FireWolves) can become Panther City's 2024 second-round selection if Thompson plays in seven games throughout the 2023-24 season (with Panther City or any other NLL franchise.)

The Mammoth now hold six total selections in the 2024 NLL Entry Draft, including its own second, third, fourth, fifth and sixth-round selections, in addition to the conditional pick acquired on Monday. Colorado sent its 2024 first-round selection to the New York Riptide in exchange for forward Tyson Gibson two season ago.

Thompson most recently logged 20 points (11g, 9a), 21 loose balls, two penalty minutes and one caused turnover in nine regular season appearances with Colorado before suffering an injury late in the campaign, causing him to be unavailable for the team's postseason run.

Colorado is prepared to announce its complete 2023-24 roster as the week progresses, with the NLL set to begin this season's slate with Faceoff Weekend Dec. 1-2. The Mammoth are primed to begin their season with a bye before traveling east to meet the Georgia Swarm for its season-opener on Dec. 9 inside Gas South Arena.
