Major Series Lacrosse well represented in NLL Leaders

Major Series Lacrosse (MSL) is well represented in the National Lacrosse League's Top 25 Scoring Leaders with the top four scorers as well as having the top five goaltenders in the league who have all spent time in the MSL.

MSL has the top four scorers in the the NLL led by Rochester Knighhawks John Grant (Peterborough Lakers) with 60 points (30G, 30A). Buffalo Bandits John Tavares (Akwesasne Thunder) and Rochester's Shawn Williams (Brooklin Redmen) rank second and third in scoring. Tavares has registered 52 points (22G, 30A) in seven games while Williams has added 47 points (17G, 30A). Arizona Sting's Dan Dawson (Brampton Excelsiors) is fourth with 46 points (28G, 18A). Rochester's Mike Accursi (Peterborough Lakers) is tied for 9th with 38 points (15G, 23A).

Rounding out the NLL's top 15 scorers are three Toronto Rock / Brampton Excelsiors players in Josh Sanderson (38PTS - 12G, 26A) , Blaine Manning (36PTS - 13G, 23A) and Colin Doyle (35PTS - 12G, 23A).

Colorado Mammoth's Gavin Prout (Brooklin Redmen) ranks 16th in scoring with 34 points (16G, 20A) while Buffalo's Dan Teat (Brampton Excelsiors) (31PTS - 10G, 21A), Arizona's Pat Maddalena (Brooklin Redmen) (30PTS-16G, 14A), and Buffalo's Delby Powless (Six Nations Chiefs) (28PTS-13g, 15A), the #1 draft pick in the 2004 NLL Draft, rounds out the top 20.

Ranking from 21-25 there are also three MSL players including Buffalo's Mark Steenhuis (St. Catharines Athletics) and Toronto's Aaron Wilson (St. Catharines Athletics) who are tied for 22nd in scoring with 16 goals and 11 assists each for 27 points. Arizona's Jonas Derks (Akwesasne Thunder) is 25th in scoring (24PTS-11G, 13A).

Major Series Lacrosse also has the top five NLL goaltenders (all of who spent time in the MSL) led by Buffalo Bandits Steve Dietrich (former Peterborough Lakers) with a league leading 10.72 GAA and .790 SV% which ranks second in the league.

Colorado's Gee Nash (Brooklin Redmen) ranks second in goals against (10.86 GAA) and third in SV% (.777). Rochester's Pat O'Toole (Peterborough Lakers) is a very close third in goals against (10.87 GA) and leads the league with a .795 SV%.

San Jose's Anthony Cosmo (Akwesasne Thunder) who spent 2004 with the Victoria Shamrocks (WLA) is fourth in goals against with an 11.74 GAA and .772 SV%. Toronto's Bob Watson (Brampton Excelsiors) rounds out the NLL's top five with a 12.14 GAA and .743 SV%.
