Ohio Machine News Release

COLUMBUS, OH - The Ohio Machine defeated Florida, 17-13, on Saturday night at Ohio Dominican University to stay undefeated at home this season. Prior to the game, the Machine retired the jersey of No. 44 Greg Bice, who became the first player in team history to have his jersey retired.

After a quick goal by the Launch to begin the game, the Machine scored six times within a 10-minute span during the first quarter, giving them a lead they did not relinquish.

With the Machine leading 9-6 after the first half, the Launch made a third quarter push to bring the score within one. The Machine responded with a push of their own, scoring five goals straight before the Launch could respond.

Scott Rodgers stood tall with 14 saves to help the Machine secure their third home and fifth overall victory of the 2016 season. Marcus Holman and Mark Cockerton led the Machine's offense with four goals apiece on the evening, bringing their season totals to 24 and 14, respectively.

Kieran McArdle led the way offensively for the Launch with three goals and one assist on the evening. Austin Kaut and Brett Queener recorded a combined 11 saves on 28 Machine shots.
