Machine Select 10 Players in Collegiate Draft

BALTIMORE - The Ohio Machine on Friday selected 10 players in the 2016 Major League Lacrosse Collegiate Draft held at the Hilton Hotel in Baltimore. Prior to the draft, the team acquired the 11th overall selection and a 2017 fourth-round Supplemental Draft pick from Chesapeake in exchange for defenseman Dana Wilber.

Ohio used their eighth overall pick on defenseman Michael Quinn from Yale. Quinn was named a 2016 Preseason First Team All-American by Inside Lacrosse. In the second round, the Machine selected two University of Maryland players -- goalie Kyle Bernlohr 11th overall and midfielder Bryan Cole 16th overall. Bernlohr, an Akron, Ohio native, was named a 2016 Preseason First Team All-American by Inside Lacrosse, and Cole is a Preseason Third Team All-American. Ohio's next draft pick was 33rd overall, which they used to select Bobby Schmitt, a defenseman from Bellarmine University.

The full list of the Machine's Collegiate Draft selections is below. All players selected by Ohio in the 2016 MLL Collegiate Draft will be eligible to join the team following the conclusions of their 2016 NCAA Lacrosse seasons.
