
Machine Defeat Hounds in Charlotte Behind Holman, Rodgers

CHARLOTTE, NC - The Ohio Machine on Thursday defeated the Charlotte Hounds at Memorial Stadium, 16-9. Scott Rodgers made 19 saves and was named the Coca-Cola Player of the Game. Marcus Holman scored five goals and added an assist to lead Ohio's offensive attack.
Ohio's Brandon Mangan scored the first goal of the game and the visiting team never looked back. Holman tallied a hat trick in a five minute and 12 second span in the second quarter, and the Machine took an 8-3 lead into halftime. Tom Schreiber scored 43 seconds into the third quarter and Ohio began to pull away.
Rodgers' 19 saves are a season high, and his most since April 26, 2014 at Charlotte when he made 23 stops. Peter Baum and Schreiber each recorded three goals and one assist for the Machine.
Ohio returns to action on Saturday, June 18, when they host the Atlanta Blaze at Panther Stadium on the campus of Ohio Dominican University. The game begins at 4:30pm and will be streamed live on Lax Sports Network. Tickets are still available and can be purchased by visiting here:
