COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Ohio Machine were recognized on Wednesday by Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted as an Ohio Business Profile Company for the month of July for doing great business and growing the economy across the state of Ohio.

"There are lots of things going on in Ohio where people are playing sports, generating entertainment, and having a lot of fun," Husted said. "Major league, minor league, and even youth sports are a great source of economic activity in the state of Ohio. Sports help create something for communities to rally around. It's a source of pride for many people in our state. Take your son or daughter out to a game to create a memory."

Last season, the Village of Obetz opened Fortress Obetz, the nation's first lacrosse specific stadium and home of Ohio Machine Lacrosse. This season saw the introduction of an expanded fan zone concourse and the launching of a field-level Beer Garden, named Hops For Hunger End Zone, to further enhance fans' gameday experiences.

"We're honored to be recognized by the Secretary of State as the featured sports team in the state this month," Machine President Ryan Chenault said. "At our core, we are a truly small business, and just like all the other small businesses throughout the state, we work extremely hard to provide our customers - our fans - an experience that is second to none. It truly is a labor of love."

The Machine are back in action this weekend as the team takes on the Atlanta Blaze on Saturday at 6:00 p.m. The Machine will host Shootout For Soldiers and First Responders Night.
