
Los Angeles Slam Building Star Studded Roster

Los Angeles, CA. The ABA Los Angeles SLAM has started building their 2009 teams and has already put together a star-studded group of players. "Our goal is to assemble a quality competitive team that will make a bid for the ABA Championship," said Owner/Coach Don Sanchies. "The LA SLAM 2009 basketball team will consist of top basketball players and many celebrities that will help fill our venue with fans. Here are some of them."
"The Game" - Mega Hip Hop Superstar and Founder of Black Wall Street. (BWS) Black Wall Street is Game's Urban Hip Hope Group and his record label. There is a huge urban fan base that follows "Black Wall Street" members.
"Sticks Money" - Famous member of "Black Wall Street." Played for the Los Angeles SLAM in 2008 and played pro for the Hollywood Jammers. Also played in the "Drew League" which is the Rucker's Park of Southern California.
"XO" - Famous member of "Black Wall Street" and Hip Hop Performer and competitive and talented street baller.
"Jason Cross" - Newest member of "Black Wall Street." Played for the Los Angeles SLAM in 2009 and was All Rookie in WCBL Spring Pro league.
"Jarred Marc" - Newest member of "Black Wall Street." Played for the SLAM in 2009 and in the WCBL Spring Pro League.
"Sabre" - from the original American Gladiators TV series. He is also the super hero "Jax" from the block buster movie and franchise, "Mortal Kombat." He played pro football in the NFL and is known as the "ageless wonder" because of his Mr. America physique and is a fierce competitor with a huge fan base around the world.
Jeff Trepagnier - USC standout and former NBA and NBDL player. Jeff played for the SLAM in local tournaments and the spring pro league.
Vincent Askew - former NBA player and former coach in the CBA and ABA. The SLAM has tentatively asked Vincent to be on the coaching staff and will announce it if agreement is finalized.
Wesley Stokes - 1st Team all ABA last season and Co-Player of the Year in ABA West Division.
Jushay Rockett - one of the best players in Southern California and 2008 Drew League MVP as well as WCBL Spring Pro League MVP.
